Who are we?

Who is MWDC

Mire women development Centre (MWDC) is a Registered Community Based Women organization located in kajwenge and branch in kisinga town council, Bukonzo, kasese district, Uganda.
The group was found by in the year 2020 by 6 women rights activist to promote women empowerment, raise the awareness of women ,young girls, and the public on women’s roles and other women’s related issues and peace building and to foster community development in the area.

Mission

To empower the rural women in Kasese District through Education and engaging them in income generating projects for poverty alleviation in their homestead and uplifting their starndards of living for a health women communities.

Vision

MWDC envisaged a knowledgable and stilled women community in Kasese through Education that is able to pass ideas and influence deceisions for women development

Goal

To unit and involve the rural women in activities that will uplift their standards of living and creating a
community free of violence among women for sustainable development.

We empower women to be architechs of their own future by bridging a gap between human rights and high value agriculture.

Objectives

  • To inspire women to initiate projects which are directed towards elimination of poverty,unemployment, disease, hunger and illiteracy.
  • To motivate disadvantaged and marginalized rural poor women to take full participation inprogrammes that enable them to realize their rights and dignity in the society.
  • To promote programmes which involve women in the struggle to conserve the environment,thereby realizing sustainable human development.
  • To strengthen gender based methodologies that address women to avert the feminization ofpoverty.
